HANDBAGS by Svetlana Gnedenok
The Genuine leather handbags have a special vintage look. All cut from Genuine Italian Nubuck leather (top-grain cattle hide leather that has been sanded or buffed on the grain side, or outside, to give a slight nap of short protein fibers, producing a velvet-like surface), handbag designs are accented with abstract prints, reminiscent of watercolor paintings, that are first applied to leather and then pyro-graphed by hand, creating a unique look for each piece. Most of the patterns were acquired from reproductions of paintings of known artists and disk covers of rock bands from 70's-90's.
The bags’ insides are lined with bright and colorful fabrics and have special compartments to house a cell phone and other items. Some bags also come with a leather pouch with a zipper for a notebook or a laptop
ABOUT THE ARTIST:
A member of the Belarusian Union of Designers, Svetlana Gnedenok, received many prestigious diplomas and prizes at fashion designers’ competitions worldwide. In 2011 she became Creative Director of the International Festival of Fashion and Photography "Mill of Fashion", held annually in Minsk, Belarus. Svetlana is also well-known for her remarkable efforts as costume designer for numerous television shows and motion pictures. Her exclusive design lines consist of unique and extraordinary leatherwear, leather handbags and belts. Svetlana has presented her work in Belarus, Russia, Poland, Sweden, Germany, Italy, and now in United States. Her designs are coveted by well-known fashionistas, including famous celebrities and athletes of Russia and Belarus.
